Like, demanding a till slip and willing to pay the VAT… not always hiring the cheapest contractor if we know he is exploiting his workers or avoiding tax… A brilliant book on this topic is “Truth and Transformation: A Manifesto for Ailing Nations by Vishal Mangalwadi”. He describes the terrible effect that corruption has on an entire society – talking about his experience in India. And how Biblical values such as truth, justice, love and charity, that start outside ourselves, take root in the heart, and are outworked with inner conviction, are the solution. Very much worth a read!
